Class Information

Welcome to Reception Class Information

Most important information for our class will be shared at our class welcome meeting.

Please see TEAMS for a copy of the presentation.

PE will be on Monday afternoons - Mrs Hewitt will let you know when these sessions are due to start.

Reading

In Reception, we love reading and the children will be encouraged to share stories with an adult or older sibling at home.

Reading books containing words will not be given out until the children are secure with the majority of phonemes. When books are given, the children will be expected to read EVERY night and a comment should be made in their reading journals. Books will be changed on a Thursday each week.
