Home Reading
It is important for children in Year 4 to read at home every night and bring their reading records into school the following day signed by an adult.
Throughout Year 4 we hope that children continue to develop their confidence, understanding and fluency in reading. Children will read daily, either independently or with an adult. This will be recorded to monitor reading progress.
Homework
Homework in Year 4 is set weekly. Every week children will have spellings, times table and general learning revision to complete.

| Reading | Daily, 5 minutes minimum |
| Spellings | Spelling test every thursday. 10 words to learn weekly, new spellings sent back out on a Friday in reading record. |
| Revision | Weekly/ Fortnightly (dependent on additional practcie needed). Homework will be sent home in homework books to be complete by your child. They may include subjects that have been learnt in school, to consolidate knowledge. |
